Got this myself on my phone, and it just rejected to update. Below's what helped me.

Edit: this seems to be a problem that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Shop problem.

This is what helped me at least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all data and also Clear cache


It doesn't hurt if you reboot your phone before you try upgrading facebook once more. And, the mount was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 minutes. Yet, it did work. If not attempt to uninstall it, or just await a fix.
