Facebook Disabled My Account
Facebook Deactivated My Account
Picture my surprise when I attempted to authorize into Facebook one morning just to get the complying with message:
My account was disabled? What does that also indicate?
I tried to visit with an additional internet browser as well as I got the same message. Facebook disabled my account!
Facebook provided a form entry web page for those desiring to contact Facebook concerning their handicapped account, and also I emailed them basically asking why my account was disabled and also how I can obtain accessibility back to the numerous pages I'm an admin for. I discussed that I manage a selection of web pages for clients, and was constantly mindful about the content I uploaded-- nevertheless, my moms and dads are on Facebook also.
After sending out the email to Facebook, I sent out an email to the close friends that's e-mail addresses I actually had and also discussed what occurred. Thanks to the connect-ability of Facebook, most of my friends were only able to be spoken to by me on Facebook.
The replies I received from that email were classified right into three various classifications:
- WTF/WTH-- why would they do that ??
- Is it since you uploaded political stuff (I like Ron Paul as well as shared material regarding #OWS).
- Maybe someone flagged you.
I check out several of the short articles by others that have had their accounts disabled to find out why mine was unexpectedly drawn-- without cautioning I should include. The posting dates on the posts span the lifetime of Facebook, showing that the company has for life been on a behind the curtain campaign of disabling accounts at their discretion.
I located some articles by popular blog writers or reporters, consisting of Roger Ebert, Robert Scoble, and Stan Shroeder (Mashable). Most of these high-profiled Facebook individuals had their profiles and/or web pages reabled right after Facebook uncovered that they disabled. For the remainder people, we're basically on our own.
Reviewing these posts didn't instill much hope in me or my situation. The understanding of what I shed was beginning to embed in too.
Over the years I had computers crash, swiped, lost, and so on and also depend on Facebook to organize all my travel and event images. The site isn't going anywhere anytime quickly, so why not post all my images on Facebook for my friends and household to check out at their discernment? There were more than 2000 photos, many video clips, blog posts (notes), plus all the calls (I still have not been able to reconnect with several that were all shed when Facebook impaired my account). This was looking to be a very grim circumstance as I better understood simply what was lost.
I needed to restore accessibility to Facebook to handle the pages for my clients, and additionally for my own ventures. Many of my pages' admin access were shared with a companion as well as were quickly set back up with the brand-new Facebook account I begrudgingly developed, cursing Facebook under my breath as I set up the brand-new account.
A few of the Facebook pages admin access were shown my customers, whom I needed to call to have them re-add me with my brand-new account. All of them asked "Why did your account obtain disabled?" as well as rightfully so. I, as well, would certainly question the person I paid to manage my Facebook page why their Facebook account was disabled. Would not you?
I still don't have an answer to that inquiry. "I have no idea" is the response I still offer, because its real. Facebook has still yet to offer me a reason why my account was disabled. After reading the factors Facebook impaired accounts on their page I was still in the dark. I really did not spam-add people, article sexual content, bother anybody. so why they deleted me didn't make sense. Only after I review other posts did I recognize a little bit more.
Facebook can disable your account if your display screen name is different than that on your birth certificate. Mine was, however not by much. It was still phonetically the exact same, but spelled different than the rest of my household. I also had a customer that recently utilized a competition promotion to increase their e-mail list. According to Facebook advertising guidelines, contests can only be operated on Facebook through one of two apps: ShortStack as well as WildFire. Could that be why my account was disabled? I checked that client's Facebook page and also it was gone as well. Aha!
Although the contest had not been specifically organized on Facebook (it was hosted on the client's web site), as well as the victor was alerted using e-mail (you can not reveal victors on your wall), I was confident this was the offending action which had me ushered off Facebook without so much as a 'Adieu'.
At this point it was about a week because I at first created Facebook that eventful early morning, and also I still had not gotten a reply. I reviewed the page permitting me to speak to Facebook, as well as clarified that I currently had a better suggestion about why they disabled me, and that I was sorry. I vowed never ever to do something like that again (was it really that poor??) if they simply reable my account.
I sent that off and also waited once again. After a few even more days I recognized something. something extremely vital-- I created a filter in gmail for Facebook e-mails. Even if they did email me, I would certainly have never ever gotten the email since it was readied to "Miss Inbox/Delete". Harsh.
So I sent another email to Facebook, this time letting them know that I had a filter on my gmail and if they did call me before this email, I would certainly have never ever obtained it.
A few days later on I lastly got an e-mail from Javier at Facebook. Below's the only response I'll likely receive from Facebook:.
Hi,
Unfortunately, your account has been permanently disabled for violating Facebook’s Terms. We will not reactivate it for any reason.
This will be our last email regarding your account. For more information about our policies, please read the Facebook Community Standards: https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards/

User Operations
What an adolescent action-- certain Facebook is a 'young' business, however I make sure there have to be someone there with better tact than 'we're not going to reable your account-- do not email us again.' ALRIGHT Facebook.
So what did I pick up from my experience with Facebook?
1. Back up your account! You never understand if/when they'll decide to remove you.
2. Do not manage your numerous customer's pages with the same account. If one page/account gets removed, you won't shed them all.
3. A lot of my friends are pretenders who's profiles are either concealed from search, or they disabled the "Add as a pal" switch making it difficult to re-add them.
Its had to do with a month because I had my account disabled, and also had great deals of time to assess the experience. I haven't attempted to speak to Facebook directly considering that I received the e-mail from Javier, however I did start the website www.facebook-disabled-my-account.org, and the hashtag campaign on Twitter #FBdisabledMe to draw attention to the negative experience.
Do I want Facebook to alter their disabling plan? Nope.
I take care of a few MU websites and also if you desire somebody off your site, by all means delete them/block them/whatever. But for Facebook to disable the account and also to maintain the data/photos/videos/ connections/blog articles, that is wrong. What would Facebook be if no one uploaded material onto the site-- No images to share or tag-- No short articles to Like-- No standing updates to LOL at-- It would be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Facebook ought to allow those who they disabled to download their account, letting them recover their photos/videos/notes/ and so on, prior to going off to the barren marshes of Google+, or to RT their close friends status updates (in contrast to 'Liking' it). Facebook already makes it possible for an active account to be downloaded, so why not a handicapped account?
It's time for Facebook to get a bit more mature around-- especially with their IPO announced. I'm really considering buying stock just so they will certainly need to pay attention to my complaint-- at the minimum I'll benefit from them.
Have you had your Facebook account handicapped? Did you get it back, and if so how?
