Got this myself on my phone, and also it just rejected to update. Here's what helped me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook know. It's a problem with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what helped me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage room, Clear all information and Clear cache


It does not hurt if you reactivate your phone prior to you attempt updating facebook once more. As well as, the mount was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 minutes. But, it did job. If not try to uninstall it, or merely await a fix.
