Facebook App Will Not Update | Update

Got this myself on my phone, and it simply refused to update. Here's what worked for me.

Edit: this appears to be a problem that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what helped me at least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage space, Clear all information and also Clear cache


It doesn't injured if you restart your phone prior to you attempt updating facebook again. And also, the set up was SLOW. Simply at least 4-5 minutes. But, it did work. If not try to uninstall it, or simply wait for a repair.
