Got this myself on my phone, as well as it just refused to update. Right here's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook recognize. It's a problem with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what worked for me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage room, Clear all data and Clear cache


It does not hurt if you restart your phone before you attempt updating facebook once more. And, the mount was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 mins. Yet, it did work. If not attempt to uninstall it, or simply wait for a repair.
